Our missed-call text-back
Last updated: October 26, 2026
When you call One Zero Backspace and we can’t pick up, we text you, so you can reach us without calling back. This page explains how that works, what callers hear, and exactly what we send. It’s the program in our SMS terms, called One Zero Backspace missed-call text-back.
How it works
- You call our business number, (412) 292-4603, and we can’t answer.
- Our voicemail greeting tells you we’ll text you at the number you’re calling from. You can also leave a voicemail.
- We send you one text from our toll-free texting number. Every text we send starts with “One Zero Backspace:”, including every reply.
- If you reply, our automated text assistant may answer first. It answers simple questions from what Ryan has told it about our business, asks what you need, and passes it all to Ryan. Ryan sees every text you send and can step in at any time. You can also text that number first.
- Reply STOP at any time and the texts stop.
We only text a caller who stayed on the line until the greeting finished telling them we’ll text them, ending with “Reply STOP to opt out.” A caller who hangs up before then, or whose number is hidden, gets no text. The automatic text goes to any number no more than once a day. We send no marketing or promotional texts.
What callers hear
This is the greeting played to every caller we can’t answer, word for word. Calling us and staying on the line while it plays is how a caller agrees to our texts.
“Hi, you've reached One Zero Backspace. Sorry we missed your call. We'll text you at this number about your call. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. To leave a voicemail, stay on the line and speak after the tone.”
The texts we send
These are the texts we send, word for word. Replies to your messages are written by Ryan or by our automated text assistant, and start with “One Zero Backspace:” too.
After a missed call
One Zero Backspace: Sorry we missed your call. Reply here with what you need, or we'll call you back soon. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.
If you reply and our text assistant answers
The assistant’s first reply always says it’s automated. Its replies depend on what you write, so this one is an example:
One Zero Backspace: Thanks for texting! I'm Ryan's automated text assistant. What's the name of your business, and what town are you in?
It sends no marketing or offers, never asks for payment details or passwords, and answers only from what Ryan has told it: anything else, it leaves to him. It stops replying as soon as Ryan replies to you, and after a few replies it hands the conversation to him. It writes its replies with our AI provider, Anthropic; our Privacy Policy explains what that means for your texts.
If you reply HELP
One Zero Backspace: Missed-call text-back. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Help: [email protected] or (412) 292-4603. Reply STOP to opt out.
If you reply STOP
Your carrier’s network sends a short message confirming you’ve opted out, and our number can’t text you again. We don’t send anything of our own after STOP.
If you ask us to stop in your own words
If you write something like “stop texting me” or “wrong number”, we stop texting you too, and send this one confirmation:
One Zero Backspace: You're unsubscribed and won't get more texts from this number. Reply START to resubscribe.
If you reply START or UNSTOP
Your carrier’s network may also send its own short confirmation. Ours is:
One Zero Backspace: You're subscribed again to replies about your calls. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.
Stopping texts and getting help
Reply STOP to any of our texts to stop them, or START to start them again. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected] or call (412) 292-4603. Message frequency varies, typically 1–3 texts per call, and more if you text back and forth with us or our assistant. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
What we collect from calls and texts, and how long we keep it, is in our Privacy Policy. The full terms are in our Terms of Service.
